A "Mission", a "Vision Statement", or a "Mandate" -- this document contains your corporate goals and business focus. This is the theme that runs throughout your business practices, be it to provide the highest quality widgets or leading widget repair. A mandate can be quite lengthy, but the best vision statements are those that take only a sentence or two. Going through the process of distilling your mission is worthwhile. It makes a company reflect on where it is going and what it is about.
